Tokio Hotel History

The twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz have been into music since early childhood. Bill started singing and writing at the age of 9 and Tom has been playing the guitar since the age of 6. They started working on their talents and taking lessons when they were ten years old. Just two years later, in 2001, they met Gustav and Georg and founded Tokio Hotel. They immediately began working on songs and lyrics together. Gustav, who has been playing drums since he was 6, already had band experience that he put to use in the project.
Just half a year after the founding of the band the boys already had gigs every weekend in and around Magdeburg. It didn't take long before they were discovered by the music industry and were off to the studios. Despite their great succes they have managed to stay the same people that they were before the breakthrough. Life as a band has brought them even closer as they were before.That combined with the professionals that assist and guide them makes their songs become better and inspire them to keep surpassing themselves.

Some of you might have already heard of the rumour that Bill and Tom could be judges for the upcoming “The Voice of Germany” casting show. Now German magazine “In” has mentioned it in their current issue.

But keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed by the guys or their management yet.
