The Tokio Hotel twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz (23) assist Dieter Bohlen in
the DSDS jury for the first time today. Also part of the 10th
anniversary series is "Culcha Candela" founder and front singer Mateo
aka Itchy.
After their creative break in the USA, the Tokio
Hotel stars are back in Germany for the first time in two years. They're
working on their studio album intensely. Tokio Hotel had many No.1 hits
with singles like "Durch den Monsun" and "Übers Ende deer Welt".
They're the most successful german band.
Why did the 23 years old pop-twins, who can look back on many platin
and gold as well as media awards like Echo, Bambi and MTV Video Music
Awards, all of the sudden got back in their homeland Germany for DSDS?
"It was just at the right time and we can do our job as jurors and can
still keep working on our next studio album" explains Bill. "We always
said that if we ever become jurors, then only of the biggest show with
the original format."
For Tom the last push to become a juror
was that Aerosmith singer Steve Tyler was part in the jury on the last
season of American Idol. He thinks it's good that "casting shows rely on
the experiences of real artists who can add more sincerity and musical
standard to the show".
[…]
"qualified, controversial,
mixed and with a huge musical spectrum" that's how RTL-entertainment
boss Tom Sänger (43) describes the obvious more younger jury. For the
jury starts the first casting recording day in reline today. There are
huge expectations on the new jury. Especially the entertainment factor
is supposed to be increased.
If it'll work out? The answer will be aired in January 2013 on RTL…
