Tokio Hotel History

The twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz have been into music since early childhood. Bill started singing and writing at the age of 9 and Tom has been playing the guitar since the age of 6. They started working on their talents and taking lessons when they were ten years old. Just two years later, in 2001, they met Gustav and Georg and founded Tokio Hotel. They immediately began working on songs and lyrics together. Gustav, who has been playing drums since he was 6, already had band experience that he put to use in the project.
Just half a year after the founding of the band the boys already had gigs every weekend in and around Magdeburg. It didn't take long before they were discovered by the music industry and were off to the studios. Despite their great succes they have managed to stay the same people that they were before the breakthrough. Life as a band has brought them even closer as they were before.That combined with the professionals that assist and guide them makes their songs become better and inspire them to keep surpassing themselves.

TOKIO HOTEL ABOUT EMA....

"Nothing confirmed yet but Tokio Hotel will most likely not be present at the show."

Bill and Tom Kaulitz are also currently working on a project (DSDS) which means they might not even be there as guests to watch the show.

NEWS: We have been in contact with an EMA worker who says MTV would have loved to have a performance by Tokio Hotel this year and that they were contacted already in August. Managers said they couldn't accept the offer because the band members would still be in the album making process. She would not confirm anything on whether or not Tokio Hotel would perform or present an award but given the information we have received and what we already know, Bill, Tom, Georg and Gustav will most likely not be present at the show.
